Suite of 3d animations for Worcester Bosch

Worcester Bosch are the UK market leader in domestic boilers. But with 99% of the magic happening behind boiler covers and beneath floorboards, they wanted to showcase the next generation technology inside their products in an exciting way.
They loved the ‘exploding internals’ animations we did for Ryobi, and asked us to create a suite of ten beautifully rendered 3D videos – some of the products naturally in the home, and others explaining the boiler controls and quoting process.
To make the videos as realistic as possible, we scoured Pinterest and Houzz for inspiring images of aspirational homes. We initially created four CG environments: a gorgeous bathroom, utility room, large country kitchen and apartment kitchen.
The boilers were modelled accurately from CAD data, allowing us to show cross sections of the products and hone in on specific parts for impact.
3d animation is a powerful medium to promote a product’s benefits. For these videos, we created scenes that would otherwise be difficult and costly to capture with traditional filmed video. A combination of visual effects were used, such as fluid simulations to demonstrate flow rates and water pressure.
Worcester Bosch couldn’t have been more impressed with the final videos, which are used on their main website and social channels including YouTube.
